About Essex Brownell  Essex Brownell is a leading distributor of electrical and specialty materials supporting OEMs, repair shops, and commercial/industrial markets. As a Customer Experience Intern, you will help support process improvement, analytics, and day-to-day service operations while gaining real-world exposure to supply chain and customer operations.  Position Summary  The Customer Experience Summer Intern will assist with customer service projects, order management analytics, workflow improvements, and cross-functional initiatives. This role is ideal for a student interested in business operations, customer experience, or systems to manage the overall customer relationships. The intern will gain hands-on experience working alongside Customer Experience, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to enhance service delivery, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.  Duration: SUMMER (June-August; 8-10 Weeks) Hours/Pay: 32-40 per week,  $20/hr Key Responsibilities  - Support customer experience initiatives that improve response times, order accuracy, and service quality.  - Assist in analyzing customer order patterns, backorders, and service metrics.  - Help gather and organize data for dashboards, reporting, and process reviews.  - Participate in workflow mapping to identify bottlenecks or improvement opportunities.  - Shadow customer support representatives to understand daily operations, systems, and customer interactions.  - Assist in documenting processes, SOPs, and recommended improvements.  - Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations teams on cross-functional projects.  - Work on assigned summer project(s) and present findings to leadership at the end of the internship.  Qualifications  - Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.  - Effective communication and organizational skills.  - Analytical mindset with basic proficiency in Excel or data tools (preferred).  - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.  - Interest in customer experience, process improvement, or supply chain operations.  - Familiarity with leveraging AI for workflow processing   What You Will Gain  - Hands-on experience in customer experience and supply chain operations.  - Exposure to real business problems and the opportunity to propose solutions.  - Experience collaborating across multiple departments.  - Professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities.  - Potential opportunity for future internships or full-time roles.  Qualifications Preferences � Undergrad or Post Graduate Students
