OVERALL GOAL OF POSITION:

We are seeking a strategic, insight-driven Customer Marketing Manager to lead customer activation and shopper marketing initiatives for Mateo’s, Spices and Kernel Season’s across key retail & Away from Home customers.

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will translate brand strategies into tailored, insight-led customer programs and tools that drive retail execution and accelerate brand expansion and category growth. The Manager will work cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Revenue Management, and Category Management to ensure best-in-class activation and flawless in-market execution. The position will report to the Director, Customer Marketing & Category Management and will be in the Commercial/Sales department.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Marketing & Sales Strategy
  • Serve as the primary Sales representative for Mateo’s, Spices and Kernel Season’s BMT, translating brand objectives into customer-focused strategies.
  • Develop pricing, trade, and promotional strategies that align with brand positioning and drive incremental growth.
  • Translate brand plans into insight-led customer-ready strategies and selling tools
  • Build and maintain innovation sales projection models (Size of Prize based on ACV and velocity assumptions) to support new item launches and retail sell-in.
  • Represent Mateo’s, Spices and Kernel Season’s brand strategies in key customer meetings and planning sessions.
  • Retail Activation & Customer Planning
  • Lead the development of customer-specific plans, sell-in stories, and promotional calendars that bring brand initiatives to life at retail.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to ensure seamless alignment on priorities, KPIs, and execution timelines.
  • Coordinate the creation of tools, presentations, and reports to support customer meetings and annual joint business planning (JBP).
  • Performance Tracking & Optimization
  • Track in-market performance of Brand MAPS, programs, promotions, and new item launches; identify and recommend course corrections to maximize results.
  • Develop and manage reporting dashboards and scorecards to monitor key metrics, ensuring delivery against targets and ROI expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing and promotional guardrails in line with trade spend objectives
  • Engage with Brand Marketing and Category Management to integrate shopper insights and category trends into customer-facing plans.
  • Act as a liaison across Sales, Marketing, and Finance to drive accountability and deliver best-in-class activation in market.
