About the role The Customer Operations Specialist supports Business Development, Sales, and Revenue Operations by helping coordinate customer account activities and program execution across an assigned portfolio of customers. This role is focused on enabling smooth coordination, strong communication, and operational discipline throughout the customer lifecycle. By supporting internal alignment and maintaining accurate program and account information, the Customer Operations Specialist helps ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and effectively executed. The position also contributes to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline coordination, reporting, and communication workflows through automation and AI enabled tools. What you'll do Customer Account Support Support coordination and communication across assigned customer accounts to help ensure a consistent, responsive customer experience while maintaining visibility into program status, milestones, and deliverables. Help maintain alignment between customer expectations and internal execution by tracking requirements, supporting account communications, and assisting internal teams with program coordination. Business Development / Sales and Revenue Operations Partnership Partner with Business Development, Sales, and Revenue Operations to support customer engagement, account management activities, and the preparation of proposals, quotes, and commercial documentation. Provide visibility to internal teams regarding customer activity, account developments, and emerging needs while supporting operational readiness for customer discussions and engagements. Order Management and Operational Coordination Support coordination of customer order intake and the accurate entry and maintenance of order and program information within internal systems. Help maintain visibility to delivery expectations, timelines, milestones, and program changes while ensuring relevant information is clearly communicated across internal stakeholders. Cross-Functional Coordination Support coordination across internal teams including Business Development / Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to maintain alignment around program execution and customer expectations. Help track program status, open items, and key actions while identifying and escalating issues that may impact delivery or program success. Process Improvement, AI, and Workflow Automation Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in customer program coordination, communication workflows, and internal reporting through process improvements and automation. Partner with Revenue Operations to evaluate, test, and implement AI-enabled tools and automated workflows that improve data visibility, reduce manual administrative work, and streamline operational processes. What we're looking for Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or related field. 3 - 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Customer Account Management or Customer Success in a B2B environment Sales Operations or Revenue Operations support Program or Project Coordination supporting multiple customer accounts. Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities. Ability to support customer accounts while maintaining clear communication and strong attention to detail. Basic understanding of commercial processes including proposals, contracts, and purchase orders. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and customer stakeholders. Ability to maintain accurate data and documentation within CRM and operational systems. Interest in process improvement, workflow optimization, and practical applications of automation and AI tools. Comfortable operating in a fast paced and evolving startup environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, SAP, D365, or similar platforms. Preferred Experience: Experience in advanced manufacturing, materials, energy, automotive, electronics, or industrial sectors. Experience operating in a startup or high-growth environment. Familiarity with structured customer onboarding or implementation processes. Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives within Business Development / Sales, Customer Service, or Revenue Operations. Familiarity with AI enabled productivity tools, workflow automation platforms, or low code process automation tools.
