We’re seeking a motivated Customer Order Coordinator to serve as a key link between our customers and our internal teams, ensuring orders are tracked accurately, delivery commitments are clear, and potential delays are communicated and resolved proactively as we continue to evolve our systems and processes. As an AS9100D certified company, Allan Aircraft requires all employees to conform to AS9100D clauses specific to their departmental responsibilities. Job Summary: The Customer Order Coordinator is responsible for tracking customer orders through the manufacturing process to ensure on-time delivery. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers, and internal production teams, proactively identifying risks, resolving delivery issues, and maintaining accurate order status reporting. This position requires strong communication skills, a working understanding of manufacturing flow, and the ability to problem-solve under deadline pressure. Requirements Customer & Order Management Track customer orders from release through shipment Verify on-time delivery and communicate status updates to customers and internal stakeholders Proactively notify customers and project managers of potential delivery risks or delays Manage delivery delays and coordinate recovery plans to minimize customer impact Internal Coordination Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Sales teams Learn and understand the manufacturing process, routing steps, and inspection points Identify bottlenecks and escalate issues appropriately Support problem-solving efforts related to late or as-risk orders Reporting & Documentation Maintain and own order status spreadsheets and trackers Ensure data accuracy for schedules, ship dates, and customer commitments Support audit readiness by maintaining clear documentation and communication trails Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Comfort working with spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets) Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Ability to problem-solve and remain calm under pressure Willingness to learn manufacturing processes in an aerospace environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace or manufacturing Familiarity with production flow, routings, or work orders Experience communicating directly with customers Exposure to AS9100 or regulated manufacturing environments Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to traverse production facility to collect documentation as needed Must be able to lift, push, pull at least 25 pounds at a time
