DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a skilled Customer Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of customer projects across the Channel Islands and internationally. You’ll manage cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions, ensuring strategic alignment within broader programmes where needed.
In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle—including resources, schedules, finances, risks, and reporting—while acting as a key representative at the Customer Project Board. Your work will be central to ensuring transparent communication, effective project governance, and alignment with organisational goals.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Proven experience in telecoms or IT/data services industries.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • At least one relevant and recognised project/programme management qualification: including but not limited to PMP, APM, Scrum Master or Agile Project Management
  • Demonstrable project management experience, including tracking and planning projects. Experience of managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Extensive experience working with business stakeholders and experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership.
  • Good working knowledge and confidence in working with project management toolsets inc. MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with Experience in some or all of the following methodologies: Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.
  • Strong customer orientation with previous experience in a client-based environment with a proactive and flexible attitude to work.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organisations.


    • Proven ability to work creatively, possessing excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly identify the root cause of blockers, identify solutions, escalating only when necessary.

    • Minimum of NPPV1 Vetting required

    Responsibilities
    • Lead successful project delivery by managing resources, schedules, finances, risks, and dependencies
    • Oversee complex project portfolios across multiple jurisdictions for individual customers
    • Provide pre-sales support including pricing input and draft project plans
    • Participate in vendor selection and proposal evaluation with JT management
    • Motivate and guide project teams to meet goals and milestones
    • Monitor staff performance and contribute to formal reviews when required
    • Deliver regular status updates on milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
    • Manage project scope and changes, ensuring quality control throughout
    • Define Statements of Work and specifications for goods and services
    • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and support continuous improvement
