Job Description Position: Customer Quality Engineer Location: Senai, Johor Reporting to: APU Manager/ Section Manager Job Responsibilities 1. Responds to customer complaints. 2. Validates the complaint; 3. Follows-up with immediate visit if required; 4. Provides containment action plan within one working day; 5. Works with the process engineer or production executive on 8D report and responds to the customer within 5 working days; 6. Closely following-up with the customer on 8D till customer’s acceptance / closure; 7. In the event of customer’s request, to present the 8D report to the customer & if required, together with respective process engineer; 8. Updates the complaint details (e.g. root causes, containment action, permanent CA) into Lynx if the complaint is logged into Lynx. 9. Participates in Quarterly Business Review (QBR), as hosted by the customer. 10. Analyses quality trend of customer complaints, feedback analysis & propose recommendations for improvement. 11. Notifies customer on all major changes to products & processes. 12. Is authorized to stop production line to rectify product quality issue. 13. Works with the manufacturing plant & interco on technical & quality matters when requested by customers. 14. As someone who is also being trained in Internal Quality Auditing, the CQE will participate in Internal Quality Audits, process audits & address all audit findings with respective area / department. Job Requirement 1. 2 – 5 years of related experiences in a manufacturing environment. 2. Engineering background, preferably with a degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering OR 3. Diploma in engineering with a minimum of 3 years working experiences. 4. Experience in implementing ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO/TS16949 is preferred. 5. Experience in TQM implementation is preferred. 6. Knowledge of stamping, molding and plating process will be an added advantage. 7. Sound knowledge of SPC application is essential and experience in conducting quality audits. 8. Trained in Six Sigma Black Belt will be an added advantage Working hours: Mon to Fri, 8am to 5:45pm
Responsibilities
The Customer Quality Engineer responds to customer complaints, validates them, and provides action plans to address quality issues. They also work closely with process engineers and production executives to prepare 8D reports and ensure customer satisfaction.
