Description
Description Represent Shawmut at specified customer locations by performing on-site visits. Coordinate/facilitate effective communication between Shawmut and our Customers. Responsibilities Assist in problem investigation, root cause determination and corrective action implementation. Track and coordinate engineering changes, trial runs, etc. to improve First Time Quality. Track and monitor to closure, open issues as it relates to the customers. Any reasonable request deemed necessary by management. Stop production to prevent nonconforming material from being shipped to the customer. Advise management of those situations which may pose a significant risk to the product assurance, operator safety, or customer satisfaction results. Provide on-site support at customer’s facility to disposition and determine description of defect / rejection and root cause of nonconforming material. Identify vendor responsibility for nonconforming material and report to Quality department for recovery. Establish containment of suspect material at customer location, if applicable. Share customer visit reports to quality team. Requirements High School graduate or equivalent education and experience combination. At least three (3) years in manufacturing environment, automotive manufacturing a plus. 3+ years of experience interfacing with customers. Strong communication skills. Detail-oriented. Computer skills. Established organizational skills. Experience in automotive industry, familiar with IATF 16949 / ISO9001. Must be able and willing to travel mostly by car 50-75% of the time on a weekly basis to customers within Western IN/Eastern KY region. Must wear safety glasses when in the plant. Must follow Shawmut’s general safety regulations. Must follow customer’s general safety regulations while at their location. Quality representative experience a plus. Sorting and inspection experience a plus.
Responsibilities
Represent the company at customer sites to investigate quality problems, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate communication between the company and customers to track engineering changes and ensure the closure of open quality issues.
