Description
This is a field-based role responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of major resource and heavy industrial accounts across all mining regions in Queensland. You will work closely with site-based maintenance and engineering teams, providing technical guidance and commercial solutions across installed equipment and new project opportunities. Your territory will include: Open-cut and underground coal operations Base metals and mineral processing facilities Coal handling and preparing plants (CHPP) Bulk materials handling systems Heavy industrial processing sites Mining contractors and regional service providers About you: We are looking for a commercially driven professional with strong technical credibility in industrial environments. Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial, mining, or technical sales Background in rotating equipment, bearings, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, or related mechanical systems Proven ability to develop and grow key customer accounts Confidence engaging with Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Procurement teams Strong business development capability with a proactive approach Ability to operate autonomously in a regional, field-based role Previous experience in the bearings & power transmission industry Hands-on experience working with rotating machinery Established networks within mining or heavy industry Familiarity with mine site access requirements and shutdown environments Mechanical Engineering qualification or trade background (e.g., Fitter & Turner) Mechanically minded candidates transitioning from site-based roles into technical sales Your main responsibilities: Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with mining and industrial customers Identify opportunities to expand supply of bearings and power transmission products Support shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and plant improvement projects Pursue upgrade and project opportunities Conduct regular on-site visits to maintain strong customer engagement Provide technical recommendations aligned to operational requirements Manage commercial negotiations and account development strategies Maintain a structured territory plan to achieve revenue growth targets What We Offer: Market aligned remuneration with annual salary reviews: Your salary grows with your skills and performance.
