KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to at least Level 2; to include Maths and English qualifications
  • Experience of interacting with customers via telephone.
  • Excellent telephone manner with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Listening skills and the ability to interact with employers and training providers in a professional and non-judgmental fashion.
  • IT literate, strong keyboard skills and comfortable in using a wide range of commercial software packages, for example Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on our Employer Outbound Team within the Department for Education Apprenticeships and Skills Team.
You will support the Department for Education by contacting businesses via outbound calls. These calls will be in relation to different products depending on business needs. These can be T Levels and Industry Placements, Apprenticeships and/or any other product DfE would like to promote.
Your role will be to make employers and businesses aware of the different schemes and encourage them to consider using them. Highlighting the benefits of high quality apprenticeships and industry placement programmes.
Business hours are 8am-6pm, where this team is 9.00am - 5.30pm there may be requirements to support in different areas of the campaign when necessary, therefore a flexible attitude to working hours is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Promote the adoption of high-quality apprenticeships and industry placements, aligning with performance goals, and offer clear guidance on apprenticeship funding.
  • Engage with decision-makers within businesses to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships and industry placements, delivering essential strategic messages.
  • Perform administrative duties and other relevant tasks, ensuring accurate information is recorded in appropriate IT systems.
  • Provide strategic skills support to organisations by informing them of key policy changes.
  • Adhere to established quality standards and consistently maintain best practices.
