POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to act as the key link between our customers and our service department team. This role is focused on coordinating equipment repairs and maintenance, ensuring clear communication, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer care. You’ll play a vital part in the service team making sure our customers’ machines are serviced quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime on the jobsite.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Experience in a customer service or service advisor role, ideally in the construction equipment, heavy machinery, or automotive/truck service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment service and repair processes (asset).
  • Team-oriented individual capable of working cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with service management software, CRMs, and MS Office Suite.
  • Mechanical aptitude or understanding of construction equipment is a strong asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding equipment service, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Open and manage service work orders, ensuring accurate details for technicians and customers.
  • Schedule service appointments, dispatch technicians, and coordinate equipment pick-up or delivery.
  • Provide status updates to customers throughout the repair process.
  • Prepare and review service estimates, obtain customer approvals, and process invoices.
  • Liaise with parts and service teams to ensure timely availability of required components.
  • Handle warranty and service contract claims, ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Proactively follow up with customers post-service to confirm satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of service history, customer communications, and job progress.
  • Support the service manager in maintaining workflow and meeting department targets.
