Description

Global Gourmet Foods is a division of Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (TSX: PBH) which is a high-growth specialty soup manufacturer with industry-leading kettle process and innovative product offerings. Global Gourmet Foods has two CFIA inspected manufacturing facilities in Richmond and Surrey, with a new warehouse in Delta.
We are seeking a Customer Service and Logistics Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with various department and will be responsible for assisting with all the logistics and managing documentation required for shipping and receiving. This role will support customer service and sales administration functions for the designated customer accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of university and/or college degree in relation to logistics is preferred
  • Previous experience in Customer Service/ Sales Administration is a must
  • Experience in the import/export business, preferably in a food industry
  • Previous experience in logistics and order processing is an asset
  • Ability to work beyond regular scheduled hours when necessary
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment while managing tasks effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities
  • Providing customer service and follow up with customers’ inquiries and orders
  • Updating and maintain the customer and order information by using multiple software programs
  • Handling the sales administration and A/R collection and analysis as needed
  • Establish relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
  • Working closely with all QA, shipping and receiving departments on the coordination of product shipments
  • Regularly maintaining contact with Freight Forwarders to ensure timely delivery of orders and shipments via ground, port and/or air
  • Independently working with all departments of the company to resolve any carrier issues, warehouse issues and/or issues that will negatively impact the clientele or customers
  • Contacting carriers to maintain the accuracy of the carrier information and to negotiate pricing and any additional charges with shipments
  • Coordinating and working closely with USDA, FDA, and other federal or state agencies as necessary to ensure all required export certification and documentation are issued correctly and are completed as required by the exporting market
  • Organizing and maintaining files of all export documentation in compliance to the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol requirements
  • Assuring all trade documents including certifications are filed, maintained and/or renewed as necessary
  • Support and provide marketing initiatives as per customer requests (POS, Signage, Booth, Posters)
  • Support all marketing campaign activities including coordination, material preparations (e.g. POS, presentation PowerPoint, sample sheet), social media tracking and monitoring, responds to customer inquiries
