Responsibilities
  • accepts jobs by telephoneI email I fax I internet
  • writes conversation-protocols
  • calculates transit-times
  • calculates shipment prices
  • raises jobs in WorldStar and edits these if need arises
  • selects routings by deciding on a single or combination of transportation-types (airplane, car, train, Aerolink)
  • orders drivers (pickupI delivery of shipments at the customer, delivery I pickup of shipments at the freight-company)
  • checks collected shipments in the office and prepares them for transport
  • books and preadvises shipments
  • monitors shipments during the transport and reacts flexibly to any deviation from the plan
  • continuously checks the notes in WorldStar and handles preadvised shipments
  • checks the planned departure or arrival times of flights ("Post Flight Check")
  • completes jobs (enters extra-charges, pricing) ·
  • invoices shipments
  • checks the internal debits and credits (Clearinghouse)
  • works securely with all pertinent regulations (ADR I DGR I IATA) as well as the relevant laws and ordinances
  • uses and maintains the available technical tools (WorldStar , OpStar , BioStar, OrgaNice, Flight Monitor)
  • maintains clinical trails usingBioStar (study management)
  • recognizesimportant information and makes immediate useof this information (All Stations Emails, Holiday Lists, Ops-Memos, C/H Memos)

  • regularly partakes in being on-call orders office supplies manages the store-room (packaging, supplies, cooling-media, etc) communicates with national and international World Courier stations I AerolinkI agents
  • builds and maintains relationships to contractors I transporte rs (airlines, handling agents, the Rail, customs, government agencies, veterinarians , suppliers, etc)
