MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Help to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist customers with inquiries, pack shopping bags at checkout, and help customers carry their shopping to their vehicles when needed. You will play a key role in making sure every customer leaves with a positive experience.

MAIN DUTIES:

• To ensure that all sections of the grocery department are merchandised and presented to the highest standard.
• Greet Customers warmly at the checkout area and offer assistance with bag packing.
• Ensure items are packed in a way that is secure, organized and convenient to transport.
• Assist Customers with trolleys or carry bags to their vehicles when required.

• To ensure you understand and comply with all company hygiene, HACCP and food safety procedures.
• To adhere to all company rules, policies and procedures at all times.
• To wear full uniform, name badge, and display a neat appearance at all times.
• To provide a friendly, efficient and polite service to all our customers at all times.
• To complete customer sales at checkout as per store procedures.
• To process internal store charges, coupons, vouchers account charges and stamps as per store procedures.
• To complete customer shopping orders when requested by management.
• To assist customer to pack shopping bags at checkout area as required.
• To provide a trolley to car service and home delivery service when requested by management.
• To be familiar and comply with all Health & Safety Regulations particularly those pertaining to your role and to report any breaches to store management.
• To be familiar with all price promotions and continuity promotions and be able to explain and promote such to our customers.
• To carry out any other duties as requested by management /supervisors from time to time.
