We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and your attention to detail will contribute to a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in retail sales and lotto is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and basic cashiering functions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with stocking shelves and merchandising products effectively.
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also taking initiative when required.

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for processing transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed and stocked.
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items during the checkout process.
• Assist in merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively on shelves and displays.
• Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
