Our People Services team plays a vital role in supporting our workforce across the Qantas Group, and the Staff and Duty Travel team is a key part of that mission—ensuring our employees have access to seamless, reliable travel experiences.


As a Consultant Staff and Duty Travel team you will be responsible for responding to all incoming Qantas Group employee and business manager queries received in relation to staff and duty travel benefits as well as create, manage and refund Qantas and interline bookings as required. You will provide an exceptional level of service and knowledge of the Staff Travel and Duty Travel Program Conditions and help drive a continuous improvement culture.


You’ll Have


  • A Fares & Ticketing Certificate (IATA Fares and Ticketing 1 & 2) or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Previous airline industry experience in reservations and ticketing.
  • Strong familiarity with airline reservation systems – Amadeus is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service, ideally in a contact centre environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical, accurate approach.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with workforce systems.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
