Description Customer Service Clerk POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a Customer Relations Clerk that will be the liaison between our company and its existing and potential customers. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively answering all customer questions, resolving customer issues and complaints, assisting in the procurement of materials by facilitating deals, and ensuring customers are being paid accordingly, while keeping customer satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior. This position is customer focused, fast paced, and requires a general knowledge of or the ability to learn scrap metal grades, and scrap procurement software. Requirements KEY COMPETENCIES Previous experience in a customer support role Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening Familiarity with CRM systems and practices Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively Strong computer skills and highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows, Google Suite Outstanding organization and administrative accountability Ability to think individually as well as collaboratively when approaching customer issues EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent 1-year previous customer service experience, preferred Knowledge of HubSpot or similar CRM program preferred 1 year data entry experience, preferred 1 year sales experience, preferred Knowledge in scrap metal recycling, preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work standing or sitting for extended periods of time in an office environment Ability to occasionally move objects up to 25 pounds Ability to perform repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
