The Opportunity

An established and rapidly developing international business is looking to appoint a Customer Service Executive to join its Bristol-based team.

This position would suit an approachable, organised and commercially aware individual who enjoys building strong customer relationships and working in a collaborative environment.

You will become an important point of contact for customers, supporting them throughout the order journey while also identifying opportunities to generate additional business. The role provides exposure to customer service, sales administration, order processing and operational coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional customer service position. With a combination of customer interaction, sales activity, order management and commercial administration, the role offers broad exposure to the business and genuine scope to develop professionally as the organisation continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for customers and suppliers, handling telephone, email, and online enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Process and maintain customer orders accurately, ensuring information is entered correctly into internal systems and orders progress smoothly.
  • Respond to customer enquiries with a commercial mindset, identifying opportunities to recommend products or convert enquiries into sales.
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to coordinate customer requirements and ensure agreed service standards are maintained.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with customers, providing ongoing support throughout the customer journey.
  • Record, review and communicate customer feedback, resolving issues where possible and escalating more complex matters appropriately.
  • Prepare regular summaries of customer activity and contribute sales information for internal planning and review meetings.
  • Assist with monitoring customer accounts and provide weekly updates to support the credit management process.
  • Maintain accurate records across relevant systems and documentation.
  • Support the wider team with general customer service and sales administration activities as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, dependable and confident dealing with people. You may already have experience in customer service, sales, retail or a similar commercial environment.

You should have:

  • Previous experience within customer service, sales, retail or another customer-facing environment.
  • A professional and consultative approach to dealing with customers, particularly when representing established or premium brands.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to managing tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling customer and order information.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience using databases or business systems would be advantageous.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to take a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • The flexibility to work across different areas of the team and support colleagues when required.
