We’re looking for a part time Customer Service Librarian on a fixed term basis who brings positivity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for stories in all their forms. Te Āheinga - The Opportunity Deliver high-quality customer service across all library functions, supporting users with enquiries, technology, and access to services. Support the day-to-day operations of the library, including shelving, cash handling, and maintaining the presentation of collections. Assist in the delivery of library programmes and community outreach initiatives, including reading programmes and digital literacy sessions. Work collaboratively across Napier and Taradale branches as part of a dedicated team focused on continuous improvement and community engagement. He kōrero mōhou - About You Five years’ experience delivering excellent customer service and helping people find information, resources, and support. Confident using digital tools and technology, with the ability to assist others with basic tech enquiries. Strong attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Familiar with databases, ideally a Library Management System. You would work 5 hours per day Sunday-Thursday for a total of 25 hours per week. You will work across the Napier and Taradale Libraries as required. The annual salary package for this role, prorated for 25 hours per week, is between $34,900-$41,100 (including KiwiSaver), with the final offer depending on your skills and experience.
