Universal Freight & Transportation Inc. is a vibrant, growing company that provides trucking solutions to a solid base of customers within Canada and the United States. We opened in 2004 with our head office in Kamloops BC. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Kamloops office on a full-time basis.
In this Customer Service and Office Admin role you will assist in several areas of our operations from reception and light accounting duties, to coordinating with our vendors during transportation and ensuring our customers receive timely and accurate updates regarding their freight.

Job Duties:

  • Dispatch coordinator - corresponding with vendors to track freight throughout the move and provide timely and accurate updates to the customer.
  • Provide broker assistance including obtaining specs and typing up orders.
  • Onboarding of new vendors.
  • Receptionist duties including: answering incoming calls, responding to email enquiries and misc. administrative tasks.
  • Assist with light accounting duties including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Organized, self-motivated and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Must be local to Kamloops, BC.

Wage dependent on experience.
