Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing quality administrative support in the Elective Admissions Department which incorporates Pre-admission Clinic (PAC). The Customer Service Officer must be able to demonstrate time management skills and work as an active team member. The Customer Service Officer is required to work within the Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS) guidelines and the Elective surgery Access Policy (Department of Health and Human Services). A commitment to patient centred care and a focus on the patient’s journey is required to ensure that the right care is provided, at the right time and place.
Customer Service Officers in Elective Admissions have a multi-faceted role that include: Front of House functions including meet and greet of patients, admission of patients to GV Health and reception duties; Back of House functions with roles covering waiting list data entry, auditing of wait lists and history prepping.
Customer Service Officers will require a range of skills and experiences that enable them to fulfil functions in the Elective Admissions department on a rostered basis, and will require the ability to work flexibly in a team environment. In addition, responsibility for specific projects may be required to support evaluation, quality improvement and be responsible for promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider ensuring GV Health missions and values are upheld.
