About the Role

Based at either our Heatherbrae, NSW, OR Kewdale, WA branch, and reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, the Customer Service Officer works closely with the Sales Managers across Ground Support and Ground Consolidation and is the interface between our customers, sales teams and operations. The purpose of the role is to process customer enquiries and orders and support the coordination of the production and delivery of goods. The duties and responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Being the first point of contact for all customer telephone enquiries such as orders, service needs, complaints, invoicing and disputes, responding where applicable or referring to the appropriate Sales Manager, or sales/account and technical/service representatives.
  • Solving simple customer problems and analyse customer service needs for communication to other departments.
  • Ensuring product complaints are followed up promptly and that a satisfactory solution from both the customer and the company’s viewpoint is obtained.
  • Developing strong and positive relationships with external customers.
  • Liaising with finance, production and logistics staff to provide internal sales support for the sales team
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation is produced and managed according to the procedure, including all invoicing and detailed sales reports.

Please note there is only one position available and can only be performed from our NSW or WA branches.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity you will possess all the following attributes:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a sales environment, preferably within the Manufacturing and/or Industrial Products Market
  • Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities
  • Highly developed attention to detail and problem-solving capability
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
  • Microsoft suite working knowledge

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business with relevant qualification in Marketing/Sales
  • Understanding of supply chain management
  • Customer satisfaction training
  • MS Navision experience
