The Y Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation with leading services in childcare, fitness, schools, housing, hospitality, youth recreation and community programs.   We are a vibrant, active community organisation, seeking to make a positive difference by providing each and every person with the opportunity to be healthy, happy and connected.   YMCA Victoria Point are recruiting a passionate Customer Service Officer on a Casual basis to join our team located in Victoria Point.    About the role   As the first point of contact for the centre, your passion for helping people and ability to make others feel welcome will be integral to your success in this role. Those with a genuine interest in fitness, gymnastics and aquatics will thrive in this fast-paced and exciting position as you assist customers with their general enquiries, organise memberships, take bookings and promote the programs and services on offer.   What will my time look like? Provide expert and friendly service at reception, over the phone and in all written correspondence Process new memberships and promote information on the facility, classes and other general enquiries Make bookings and process payments Perform open and close procedures, cash reconciliations and banking duties   Am I a good match?   Previous experience in a similar role Availability to work a range of morning, afternoons and alternating Saturdays Demonstrated ability to perform a range of administrative duties, including data and word processing, filing and photocopying, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Familiarity with POS systems and MS suite A National Police Check is essential prior to commencing in the role   What’s in it for you?
