Customer Service Representative (Remote) Location: Remote - Must reside within a 75-mile radius of Hendersonville, TN Pay: $17.20 per hour Join Our Mission-Driven Team! At Central Research, Inc. (CRI), we’re helping people navigate their federal student loans with compassion, clarity, and compliance. We're currently seeking Customer Service Representatives who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and ready to make a real impact-all from the comfort of their own home. This is a remote position, but to qualify, applicants must reside within 75 miles of Hendersonville, TN What You’ll Do * Assist student loan borrowers with account inquiries, repayment options, and application processes * Handle inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced, high-volume contact center environment * Provide accurate, professional, and empathetic customer support * Ensure compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and data security standards * Meet key performance indicators and quality assurance standards How Do You Qualify * U.S. Citizenship * High School diploma or GED * 6+ months of customer service in a business, non-retail environment or call center experience * 6+ months of computer experience in a business setting * Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote) * Must live within 75 miles of Hendersonville, TN * Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust (5c) security clearance (financial/credit history and background will be reviewed): 1. Not in default on federal student loans 2. Demonstrated financial responsibility 3. No felony convictions within the past 7 years 4. Misdemeanor convictions within the past 7 years may impact eligibility 5.
