REQUIREMENTS

  • Retail or customer service experience required; leadership experience is an asset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure
  • Proficiency with POS systems (experience with Square is an asset)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • A passion for sustainable living and providing exceptional customer experiences
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and data analysis is a plus

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (CUSTOMER SERVICE ROLE)

  • Deliver exceptional customer service — greet customers, answer questions, and help them find products
  • Operate POS system, process transactions, and assist with daily cash-out
  • Maintain store appearance, merchandising, and product displays
  • Restock shelves and prepare products for sale (labeling, filling, etc.)
  • Support daily cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure a fresh and welcoming store environment

POTENTIAL FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES (ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE)

  • Supervise and mentor the customer service team to ensure high-quality service standards are met
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall customer experience
  • Monitor team performance metrics and provide feedback to enhance productivity
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on products, services, and best practices
  • Analyze customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Prepare reports on team performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
  • Assign daily cleaning tasks and keep staff on schedule
  • Assist with inventory management: stock counts, data entry, and reorder prep
  • Coordinate deliveries and production schedules
  • Maintain and coordinate the in-house production schedule, including making products
  • Prepare payroll data and reconciliation reports
  • Assist with staff scheduling and support training for new team members
  • Implement action plans to improve efficiency and team performance
