Position: Customer Service Representative
Location: Ottawa ON
Type of Employment: Full-Time – Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our ATS team in Ottawa (YOW). The Customer Service Representative is responsible for data entry, customer inquiries as well as on time service reporting. The position will be required to respond to customer inquiries quickly, efficiently and professionally. They are also responsible for ensuring that all loads are picked up and delivered in a timely manner, as well as for ensuring effective communication between drivers and carriers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years of transportation-related experience and/or Customer Service
  • Good oral and written communication in English and French
  • Good problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and ATS Systems
Responsibilities
  • Enter pickups received via email and phone calls
  • Ensure all calls are dispatched to the appropriate driver
  • Respond to customer enquires via email and phone calls within a 20-minute turn-around time
  • Check messages left in CS mailbox and return clients calls
  • Enter waybills into billing ensuring accuracy with consignee info, piece count, weight, cubes and service level
  • Maintain designated customer accounts
  • Ensure accessorial, specials and extras are entered accurately
  • Perform administrative tasks for the branch
  • Creating and entering data for productivity and payroll
  • Review and investigate various reports - no scan report , missing scan report, missing proof of deliveries
  • Advise customers of delays ie weather delays
  • Ensure all priority alerts or specials are on-time
  • Trace shipments
  • Provide verbal Proof of deliveries
  • Coordinate specials or samedays
