POSITION OVERVIEW

The CSR is the first point of contact for members, guests, and staff—delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining facility safety, and responding calmly to emergencies. This role requires multitasking, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, diverse environment. The JCC Member Services is the communication hub of the Centre.
Shifts: Mainly weekend shifts with some evenings and daytime coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate First Aid & CPR-C (required).
  • Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs.
  • Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems; experience with Intelligenz, When to Work, and ADP is an asset.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, noisy environment while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Greet and assist members, guests, and event attendees.
  • Process membership sales, program registration, book clients into drop in programs and sell retail items.
  • Provide information, conduct tours, and upsell memberships/programs.
  • Monitor facility use (gym, playground, outdoor courts) for safety and quality experiences.
  • Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Support maintenance, fitness, and event staff with setup/takedown and cleaning.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks; report unsafe conditions.
  • Respond to emergencies using First Aid/CPR/AED skills.
  • Assist with special events and work on-call shifts as assigned.
