As a Customer Service Agent/Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and outstanding customer service. Acting as the link between customers, drivers, and operations teams, you will manage service inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and coordinate driver dispatches to meet customer and operational needs.

Qualifications for the Customer Service Representative Agent/Dispatcher:

  • 1–2 years of customer service or dispatch experience (waste management or logistics experience an asset)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Office and dispatch/routing software (Trux, Fleetmind, SAP, or similar systems preferred)
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Knowledge of local geography and service areas in and around Holland Landing is an asse

Responsibilities
  • Respond to a high volume of customer calls and emails regarding waste, recycling, and organics collection
  • Enter, track, and resolve service requests, complaints, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers for residential, commercial, and industrial routes using routing and GPS systems
  • Monitor route progress throughout the day, making adjustments for delays, weather, or equipment issues
  • Communicate service updates, delays, and changes to customers and drivers clearly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, driver reports, and service resolutions in CRM/dispatch systems
  • Collaborate with supervisors, operations staff, and customer service team members for seamless issue resolution
  • Support service optimization by identifying inefficiencies, missed pickups, and customer service trends
  • Handle escalated service issues with professionalism and a focus on first-call resolution
  • Complete administrative duties such as work order entry, service confirmations, and reporting
