As the Customer Service Representative, you are the face and voice of the Province of Nova Scotia. As such, you are responsible for delivering programs and services to meet the needs of our clients and the public good.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Four years customer service experience (in person and/or over the telephone) or the equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.
The successful candidate must be able to provide quality customer service over the telephone on a continuous basis and work cooperatively in a team setting. They must have strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to understand and explain government programs, policies, procedures and legislation. The incumbent must also have the ability to diplomatically deal with members of the public and maintain confidentiality as well as analyze problems and provide solutions while working in a fast paced environment.
The incumbent should be comfortable using the Internet and other web based applications such as the Registry of Motor Vehicles, Vital Statistics (VISyONS) and Property Online applications as well as software applications such as AMANDA, REGIS and Outlook.
A working knowledge of the programs, policies, acts and regulations administered by Service Nova Scotia is considered an asset.
Note: Contact Centre hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Successful candidates must be available to work during these hours of operation.
