JOB OVERVIEW

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a seamless experience from order entry through delivery. The CSR will work closely with operations, logistics, and sales teams to support day-to-day business needs, resolve issues quickly, and maintain Forsythe’s reputation for dependable, responsive service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, administration, or related field preferred.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry/order processing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP/order entry systems an asset (Microsoft GP)
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Team player with a optimistic, positive, professional attitude.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of lubricants, solvents, or chemical products is an advantage (training will be provided).
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and the values of a family-run business.
  • 2+ years of customer service, order desk, or inside sales experience (manufacturing, industrial distribution, or chemical/lubricant industry experience is an asset).

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in-person.
  • Enter and process customer orders accurately in the ERP/order system.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide product information, pricing, and lead times to customers.
  • Handle customer complaints and service issues with professionalism, escalating when necessary.
  • Support the sales team with quotes, sample requests, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain customer records and ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with invoicing, returns, and credit documentation as required.
