This position involves a high level of data entry. The primary responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative are: Responding to requests from customers in a timely and professional manner via fax, email, or phone. Composing and editing sales orders, assuring accuracy of all fields and showing pertinent information. Looking up pricing information and provide appropriate pricing or forward non-standard requests / concessions to the appropriate Sales Representative for resolution. Generating required reports for daily orders and distribute. Effectively communicating with manufacturing, sales, shipping and receiving, and accounting to ensure the success of each job and customer satisfaction. Following through on the request and approvals of credits to customers. Distributing and communicating of emails from customer to the appropriate departments for proper response. Staying abreast on product information / developments. Maintaining customer files and order information in an organized and orderly manner. Experience and/or Education Requirements: Must have a high school degree or equivalent. 3+ years of customer service experience. Positive, customer first focus Meticulous and detail oriented and able to follow established processes. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated ability to facilitate problem solving resolutions and conflict management with internal and external customers Knowledge or ability to learn company product and shipping methods. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word, Outlook required; Experience with Process Pro (ERP system) a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seated in an office setting and is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, see, talk and hear.
