Mid Island Air Service has been family owned and operated since 1946. We have two locations at Islip and Brookhaven Airports, servicing all of your aviation needs.
We are currently looking for self-driven, motivated individuals to train for both the Customer Service department as well as Line Service Technician at our Brookhaven location. Candidates must be able to carry 50 lbs. unassisted, feel comfortable on ladders, and have a valid NYS Drivers License and High School Diploma or G.E.D. We are specifically looking for candidates who can work any day during our hours of operation: 7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. More hours may be given based on work performance.
This is a part-time position. On-the-job training will be provided. No experience needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

We are looking for a highly motivated, dependable candidate who is eager to learn and is personable. Candidate must be local to the Long Island area. Must be able to start ASAP. If interested, please send resume through Indeed.

• Basic computer literacy
• Proficiency in basic math
• Proficiency in data entry and outbound calling (Preferred, but not required)
• Ability to analyze customer needs and provide effective solutions
• Competency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel (Preferred, but not required
• Competency with Intuit QuickBooks (Preferred, but not required)
• Customer Service experience (Preferred, but not required)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
• A Valid NYS Drivers License
• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs repeatedly unassisted

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

• Answering phone calls and maintaining a professional demeanor
• Scheduling of flights and services
• Invoicing/Billing of flights and services
• Refueling school aircraft
• Performing quality control testing for fuel
• Performing inventory calculations
• Moving aircraft
• Jump starting aircraft
• Cleaning aircraft exteriors and interiors
• Facility management (Including, but not limited to, landscaping and janitorial duties)
