CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – CHRISTCHURCH

Start Dates: 7th July, or 11th August 2025
Location: Christchurch
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Training Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (approx. 5 weeks)
  • Post-Training Roster: Monday to Saturday, between 8:00am – 6:15pm (1 in 6 Saturdays with a day off in lieu)

Our client in Christchurch is seeking Customer Service Representatives to join their busy and supportive team. These roles offer a unique opportunity to make a real impact by guiding customers through challenging times with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

You will be the first point of contact for customers experiencing unforeseen events. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing inbound calls and emails regarding insurance claims
  • Investigating, negotiating, and settling claims efficiently
  • Providing empathetic and effective support to customers
  • Assessing claims against policy terms for accurate outcomes
  • Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a call centre environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to stay calm under pressure
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask
  • A naturally empathetic and customer-focused attitud
