POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support daily front-of-house operations. This role involves direct interaction with customers, handling transactions, assisting with inventory control, maintaining cleanliness, and wrapping meat products to our high presentation standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in retail, food service, or customer service (butcher shop or deli experience is a plus)
  • Comfortable with basic math and handling cash and electronic transactions
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Friendly, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, including handling cash, debit/credit transactions
  • Wrap and package fresh meat cuts per customer orders and food safety standards
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations, counters, and customer areas throughout the day
  • Stock shelves, fridges, and displays following FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation
  • Enter inventory counts, product details, and expiry dates into the POS system accurately
  • Monitor product freshness and assist in removing outdated or unsellable items
  • Support the team with closing duties, cleaning equipment, and preparing for the next business day
