We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to work out of our office in Guelph, Ontario.

Through our brands: Hose Technology, Multi-Flow Solutions and Hetronic Canada, we are able to offer solutions to Original Equipment Manufactures, distributors, aftermarket sales and end users. Our reputation was built in fluid conveyance, and this has since extended to fluid power and controls.
Our fluid conveyance offering ranges from end user hose replacements right through to full hydraulic conveyance kitting for some of North America’s largest OEMs. We also offer full hydraulic system servicing, both on site and in our shop. Our engineering department can help with the smallest of requests right up to designing and building large power units. Our drive to sell and service the best brands in the world has established our relationship with Hetronic Radio Remotes, by being Hetronic Canada, our clients can now lean on the UMI Group for support in radio remotes and electrical controls.
The Customer Service Representative will be the point of contact for engaging and assisting customers by sharing information about The UMI Group’s products and services. This employee will also be entering sales orders, liaising with internal production teams and engineering, following up with customers, and diagnosing client issues while providing exceptional support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English (both orally and written), fluent in French would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working with customer support.
  • Prior industry experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in fluid power systems would be considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure that all bills and invoices are accurate.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with decision-making ability to work around delays if required.
  • Exceptional customer service focused with strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Commitment to a very high quality of work.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance long-term relationships with customers (internal and external)
  • Act as a liaison between The UMI Group’s technical team and clients to review and input technical data.
  • Provide customers quotations on hydraulic kits, assemblies, parts and repairs in coordination with the technical team
  • Provide appropriate response time to customers while meeting departmental goals.
  • Inform Territory Managers and Account Representative of situations with customers as needed.
  • Accept, enter, and manage customer orders from order entry through to fulfillment.
  • Respond to customers’ needs, concerns, or questions to meet/exceed expectations.
  • Ensure The UMI Group’s processes and procedures are executed consistently and efficiently, balancing customer satisfaction with The UMI Group’s best interest.
  • Review customer requests and concerns & agree to corrective actions.
  • Perform inventory availability checks on sales orders to ensure on time and in full targets are met.
  • Work with Supply Chain as needed to meet customer demand.
  • All other duties as assigned.
