We don’t want you to live to work, we want you to work and live.   What you can expect as a Customer Service Representative at West Star:   Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and a love of helping/greeting customers is what our customer service representative's thrive on.  Each day you will be providing customer travel and customer amenity assistance, answering telephone calls,  as well as radio communication with our line services regarding fuel loads needed for aircraft on the ramp.    You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including: * Greeting customers with an energetic, friendly appearance. * Providing customer support for passengers and crew, including coffee, assisting in ground transportation and hotel reservations. * Preparing customer invoices and the required background work associated with billing. * Park aircraft on occasion. * Answering telephones and dispatching information by radio. * Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.   What you’ll need to bring with you:   Your Education                             High school diploma or equivalent. A valid drivers license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required     Your Experience Customer service experience or dispatching experience preferred.     Your Initiative  Self-motivated. Set priorities and maintain a rapid pace. People oriented work style. Capable of working with minimal guidance.   Your Sense of Responsibility  Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.  Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work. Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration and OSHA guidelines. Follow all company rules and FAA regulations during performance of duties. Maintain customer oriented work habits for oneself and the department. Flexible work schedule. Must be able to prioritize job duties and handle multiple tasks. Must be accurate in data entry.     Qualifications Other Particulars:   Physical Requirements  Lift at least 20 lbs.  Sit at desk and computer for extended intervals. Walking of short distances routinely, bending, squatting and sitting. Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.   Mental Requirements       Understanding of regulations and guidelines. Must be alert and aware of surroundings. Work with others in a professional manner. Work with new or upgraded computer systems. Very good customer service skills.   Supervision                        Will work under supervision of Customer Service Representative Supervisor.   Working Conditions         The majority of the work will be in the front desk area. Work outside during aircraft taxiing may occur. Varied positions in and around the front desk area. Must work holidays. Occasional overtime may be required.   Equipment Used                Computer systems, personal computers operating with Windows, Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Access and others. Multi-line telephone, FAX, photocopiers and calculators, Courtesy van.
