Job Summary The Customer Service Sales Specialist will key in on the selling of our company’s services and maintenance agreements to new and existing customers with the product being Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This position requires someone to be a fearless “hunter” of new business. Preferred is someone with sales experience in all types of MHE – Forklifts (Electrical, Diesel and Internal Combustion), Lift Trucks, Aerial Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc. Also, someone who has worked with maintenance/service agreements. Brand names include: Raymond; Clark; Doosan; Linde; Toyota; and other name-brands. Essential Functions Drive and manage the entire sales process - targeting top prospects, identifying client solutions, negotiating and closing. Act as a "solutions expert" consultant in helping partners with their unique critical business issues and strategic initiatives. Work with senior management to establish a clear and effective plan for growing the company customer base. Work with the sales team to share ideas, knowledge and new business development strategies. Utilize Sales Force to provide visibility and effectively communicate activity in assigned territory. Strategize on social selling opportunities. Attend company training programs and accompany other associates or managers during ride along in order to learn job skills. Preparing appropriate specs and level of service expectations all in accordance with existing laws, regulations, and company policy. Calculating correct job costs & market based pricing for solutions Items on sales focus include: Preventative Maintenance; Field & Shop Service; Rental Equipment; Forklift Safety Training; New and used Material Handling Equipment Sales. Responsible for generation of order activity to support the sales forecasts through prospecting, lead follow-up and market development. Requirements 3+ years cold calling sales experience required. 3+ year’s customer service experience required. 2+ year’s Industrial Equipment or Construction Sales experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must have valid drivers’ license and clean driving record (Department of Motor Vehicles) The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check Must own “reliable” transportation. Must be able to navigate customer job sites, which may involve climbing ladders to access equipment or work areas. Requires coordinated use of hands and feet for movement and equipment handling. May need to assume various physical positions such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, or crawling to assess equipment needs. Regularly operates tools and devices including cell phones, tape measures, screwdrivers, hammers, and similar equipment. Frequently communicates via phone, email, text, and in-person, requiring accurate information exchange. Often works in outdoor environments or inside customer facilities where PPE such as hard hats, safety goggles, gloves, ear plugs, and high-visibility vests are mandatory. Must be able to adapt to varying warehouse temperatures and environmental conditions. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work is performed in various locations, including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, refineries and hospital settings. Employees may work with co-workers’ side-by-side with a moderate level of activity being performed. Exposure to high voltage AC/DC power is very common in many work environments.
