Customer Service Specialist - 12 months fixed term contract

Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours

In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our bonded warehouse and transport services, ensuring our internal and external customers receive a consistently high standard of service. You will work closely with customers, transport providers, customs authorities, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments, resolve queries, and maintain accurate operational records.

What will you be doing?


  • Coordinate outbound shipments with customers, transport providers, customs authorities, and internal teams.
  • Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information and effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and database information to ensure full traceability.
  • Support operational teams with customer-focused solutions and issue resolution.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure service levels and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Monitor service performance and proactively escalate potential issues or delays.
  • Request and manage invoices from suppliers and customers.
  • Analyse shipment information and identify any issues relating to goods leaving bonded warehouses.
  • Produce and maintain operational reports and data records.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process and service improvements.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, compliance requirements, and health and safety standards.


About you


  • Experience in a customer service, logistics, transport, supply chain, or operational support role.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel knowledge being essential.
  • Confidence using Excel for data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and managing large volumes of information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high service standards.
  • Logistics experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of cost and profitability
