Responsibilities

THE ROLE

David Roberts Food Corporation is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to lead a small team and manage the end-to-end order process – from entry through to delivery and invoicing. This role requires a proactive team lead who can serve as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service at every step. A strong customer-focused approach, commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is key. Familiarity with SAP is considered a valuable asset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead, train, and mentor a small team of Customer Service Representatives to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Cultivate a collaborating, results-oriented team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear team goals, monitor performance metrics, and deliver regular constructive feedback.
  • Accurately enter, process, and manage customer service orders with a strong focus on efficiency and precision.
  • Actively monitor open orders to ensure timely fulfillment and invoicing, resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Review invoices to verify correct customer pricing, promotions, and product eligibility.
  • Manage key order life-cycle activities, including resolution of missing information and credit hold releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate order status, manage expectations, and provide proactive updates.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer inquiries and issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of each customer’s ordering and logistics requirements, including lead times, delivery windows, and carrier preferences.
  • Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure seamless order execution and delivery.
  • Act as a UPS contact at David Roberts Food.
  • Other duties as assigned.
