Description

About Us:
Dunsters Farm is a trusted foodservice wholesaler, proudly supporting the hospitality and catering industry. We deliver a wide range of quality food and drink products to our customers across the region—from schools and care homes to restaurants and independent caterers.
About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for a part time term time friendly, proactive Customer Service Advisor who understands the fast-paced, high-pressure world of hospitality. This role would be ideal for someone with experience in restaurants, catering, or hospitality procurement—perhaps you’ve worked as a chef, FOH manager, or have ordered stock and liaised with suppliers in a busy kitchen.
You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, offering product advice, helping with orders, solving problems, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellent service. Your hospitality background will give you a unique insight into our customers’ challenges—and allow you to support them with empathy and expertise.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Hospitality background strongly preferred—whether as a chef, kitchen manager, restaurant supervisor or someone who has handled ordering and supplier relations in a hospitality setting
· Professional and customer service-focused
· Previous customer service and/or telesales experience
· Strong attention to detail

· Confident with IT systems (email, CRM, order platforms, etc.)

  • A team player with a positive “can-do” attitude
Responsibilities

Customer Support: Engage with customers—many of whom operate in the hospitality and education sector—to assist with queries, concerns or orders via phone, email, and third-party systems.
Issue Resolution: Understand the urgency of the hospitality sector and work swiftly to resolve any problems. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service remains smooth and dependable.
Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our product range, including chilled, ambient and frozen lines. Prior experience with food ordering or kitchen operations will be a real asset here.
Complaint Handling: Deal with complaints professionally and empathetically, always seeking to turn a negative into a positive and retain customer loyalty.
Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders and requests received through multiple channels—ensuring speed and accuracy to meet hospitality customer demands.
CRM Management: Keep customer records updated and accurate to help the wider team deliver consistent service.
Customer Satisfaction: Go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations—particularly for our busy chef and kitchen manager customers who rely on efficient service.
Administration: Support with credit notes, stock reports, pricing queries and order adjustments.
Upselling & Promotions: Introduce customers to new lines and highlight opportunities based on your understanding of hospitality trends or menu planning needs.
Team Support: Help cover colleagues’ work during absences and take on occasional wider team tasks as needed.
