The Buckinghamshire Building Society is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join its busy customer services team, assisting with opening and maintaining savings accounts for our members, and providing them with a personalised, compliant service. It is a great opportunity for someone with excellent administration and customer service skills who is seeking an interesting, varied role in financial services.

The main responsibilities of the Customer Services Assistant will include:

  • General office administration
  • Accurately inputting data into bespoke data management systems and Excel
  • “Best in class” customer service both face to face and when dealing with telephone queries.
  • Cashiering and monitoring of branch cash limits, which includes opening & balancing individual till, banking preparation and preparing end of day figures to report to Finance and ordering cash from the external courier.
  • Opening new accounts and setting up new customer & a/c type on system.
  • MyBBS accounts administration
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of Society products and the ability to communicate product detail & compliance requirements to existing and prospective customers.
  • Addressing customer’s complaints directly when appropriate or escalating to the Customer Services Team Leader if required (ensuring that all customer feedback is captured to assist in the improvement of our customer offering).
