Responsibilities

As an Customer Service Office you will provide a strong supportive backbone to the organisation by the delivery of highly effective and efficient transactional services which facilitates innovation and expertly transforms a range of inputs into high quality outputs to equip front-line staff with the resources to champion the best interests of children involved in family proceedings.

Joining our Exceptions Team, you will help provide an effective business support service to Customer Services Managers and the National Customer Service function of Cafcass, ensuring that appropriate systems are in place and working effectively to ensure consistency and continuity of response to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Process Subject Access Requests nationally ensuring a response is sent within the agreed timescales of 1 calendar month from date of receipt.
  • Independently review and quality assure SAR disclosures prior to the data being released.
  • Review and discuss SAR reviews with local teams, the legal department and Information Assurance to ensure relevant and accurate data is disclosed.
  • Work with local teams to ensure the quality of case recording is at a high level following the review of case files as part of a SAR request.
  • Work with the Information Commissioners’ Office (ICO) on reviews and appeals.
