Job vacancy: Support Engineer (Aviation) & Customer Onboarding
We are looking for someone to help support the deployment of our automated drone inspections to the world’s leading airlines. A key focus in your job will be to onboard customers with the use of our technology, and integrate our products into the daily operations of aircraft maintenance organizations.
This is a customer-facing role that requires not just technical affinity but impeccable communication and social skills.
You will manage the customer onboarding process end-to-end: from product demonstrations and staff training to regulatory remote support and on-site visit and support from time-to-time. This role is ideal for someone with experience within aircraft maintenance, who has a technical foundation, but most of all is talented for and enjoys working closely with customers.
What is Mainblades’ product? We have developed a drone-based inspection tool that enables digital aircraft inspections. Our drones automatically fly around aircraft, collect inspection data, and analyze it for damages. The results are then made available to end users such as maintenance engineers and mechanics. Currently, our product is used by several airlines and aircraft maintenance organizations across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.
🛠ï¸Â� What you will be doing:
- Guide the integration of our product into customer maintenance workflows: make sure there is a smooth onboarding and continuous support throughout the process, which all in all can take several weeks to months per customer.
- Lead technical training for maintenance staff (using the drone and using the software).
- Support customers with aircraft maintenance related certification processes and with getting regulatory approval.
- Be the primary point of contact for customers from Mainblades’ side: Gather and relay customer feedback to commercial and product teams to drive continuous improvement of our product.

- You are proactive, communicative and customer-oriented.
- You have experience/knowledge in aircraft maintenance, such as knowledge of operating manuals, abbreviations, procedures, and processes.
- You enjoy connecting customer needs with technical solutions.
- You like engaging with lots of different people: customers, aviation regulators, OEMs, and our technical staff to ensure our product meets all their needs.
- You like dynamic situations, quickly adapt when plans change and can easily deal with shifting priorities (and shifting time-zones).
- You are up for traveling and supporting customers around the world, sometimes for several weeks at a time, this is a key part of fulfilling this role.

- Experience in a product integration or process development role within aerospace or another highly regulated industry.
- Familiar with regulatory processes and (Part 145/121) MRO operations.
