The opportunity

You’ll start by supporting customers with their loan applications, building your knowledge of our products, systems and lending processes. You’ll learn how to handle a range of customer situations, communicate clearly and work accurately in a busy financial services environment.

As your skills, knowledge and confidence develop, you’ll have the opportunity to work towards a Loan Assessor role.

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn the basics, takes pride in doing them well and is motivated to keep developing.

What you’ll be doing

• Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email and our client portal.
• Helping customers with questions and matters relating to their loan application.
• Explaining information clearly, resolving issues and guiding customers through the next steps.
• Keeping accurate customer records and notes in our CRM system.
• Following our processes and maintaining high standards of customer service, fairness and compliance.

You’ll need to listen, understand each customer’s situation and be comfortable having firm, professional conversations when needed.

About you

You enjoy being busy, take ownership of your work and stay calm when things become challenging. You’re interested in how lending works and ready to put in the effort to learn.

You’ll bring:

• A confident, friendly and professional phone manner, with the ability to be appropriately assertive.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage competing tasks and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Good attention to detail and confidence working with numbers.
• Solid computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems.
• Reliability, a strong work ethic and a positive approach to working in a team.

Finance experience is not essential. Customer service experience in a busy environment is highly regarded.
