Position: Customs and Export Control Specialist Location: Penzberg, Germany Field: Defence Type: Full-time Tasks: As a specialist in customs and export control, you will work closely with the export control officer. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring that all customs and foreign trade-related processes within the company are handled in accordance with the law and will work closely with internal departments. Supporting and representing the customs and export control officer in all operational and administrative activities Act as the contact person for compliance with export control regulations in the areas of export control law (DE/EU/US), the War Weapons Control Act (KrWaffKontrG), and customs Assist with the application, administration, deadline tracking, modification, renewal, and monitoring of conditions for licenses and other notices Monitoring of import and export processes, including assessment, approval, and documentation of all business transactions in relation to export control law (DE/EU/US), the KrWaffKontrG, and customs Cooperation and ensuring communication with all internal and external bodies involved in the approval process (e.g., BAFA, customs) Assistance in preparing for and accompanying official audits (e.g., foreign trade audits) Support in maintaining the war weapons register and monitoring inventory and documentation as well as the proper storage of war weapons Assistance in the further development and continuous optimization of existing processes, including the creation of guidelines and instructions Requirements: As a specialist in customs and export control, you will work closely with the export control officer. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring that all customs and export control procedures are carried out in compliance with the law.
