SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly experienced and licensed Customs Brokerage Manager to lead our Customs Brokerage operations based in Grapevine, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of professionals handling imports, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, and providing exceptional service to our diverse range of clients. This individual must be confident in interacting with government agencies, internal teams, and external customers, while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Customs Brokerage, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • In‑depth knowledge of CBP regulations, Partner Government Agencies (PGA) requirements, trade compliance, and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
  • Proven ability to interact confidently with government officials at all levels.
  • Strong customer service and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with customs entry systems, MS Office Suite, and other relevant logistics software.
  • Must be able to work full‑time, onsite at our Grapevine, Texas facility.
  • Travel up +/- 40% or as business requires.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily Customs Brokerage operations for air freight, ocean freight, and standalone Customs Brokerage clients.
  • Ensure all import transactions comply with U.S. Customs regulations, laws, and Apex Logistics policies.
  • Act as the point of contact with U.S. Customs and other government agencies, including handling inquiries, audits, and escalations.
  • Maintain strong, service‑oriented relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and providing regulatory guidance as needed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with required procedures.
  • Monitor and improve operational processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify industry changes, regulatory updates, and compliance risks and communicate them to the team and clients.
  • Collaborate with other operational units within Apex Logistics to provide integrated supply chain solutions.
  • Manage departmental budget, reporting, and key performance indicators.
