Description Trancy Logistics America, a leading provider of international forwarding and warehouse management services, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Specialist to join our team! As a Customs Brokerage Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating the smooth flow of goods through customs. Customs Brokerage Ensures compliance with all applicable customs laws and regulations in the transmission of data to CBP and PGAs. Accurately prepare, review, transmit CBP import data within the prescribed time-frames: CBP3461: Consumption entry/Cargo Release, CBP7501: Entry Summary, CBP7512: In-bond transport/export; FTZ/bonded warehouse withdrawals. Upload all pertinent documents to the customs management system in a timely and accurate manner. Identify and address any shipment or import issues, working proactively to resolve them and minimize disruptions to the supply chain. Pro-actively communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with CBP regulations and advise of cargo status. Coordinate between multiple parties to move freight between facilities/locations. Actively manage workflow and analyze/implement the most efficient manner to complete required tasks. Stay current with changes to regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in international trade and customs compliance. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance effectiveness. Responsible for maintaining good customer relations through phone, fax, email, and direct visits with customers. Miscellaneous & Other Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management. Follows up to complete any assigned work. Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace. Reports all irregular issues and problems to Supervisor or Assistant Vice President for solution. Maintains good communication with Vice Presidents, Supervisors, staff members and outside contacts. Complies with all company policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area. Requirements Candidate should have detailed knowledge of the import entry process and documentation requirements: Free Trade Agreements (FTA) HTS Classifications Reciprocal tariffs Cargo Release FTZ/Bonded Warehouse An ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This candidate should also be able to work independently or as part of a team. Must be proficient in MS Office and customs management systems, preferably CargoWise. Three (3) years of experience in customs clearance/compliance or a degree in a supply chain or logistics related field. Highly desirable: Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) FTZ/Bonded Warehouse experience
