CUSTOMS CLEARANCE AGENT

Location: Coventry CV3
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm
We are currently seeking a Confident Customs Clearance Agent to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have experience completing Import and Export SADs and Transit Declarations for Road Freight.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of experience in Customs Clearance for road freight.
• Knowledge of EU TRACES, IPAFFs, and CHEDP’s would be beneficial.
• Ability to complete import and export declarations for movements EU/UK and IRL/UK, in both directions.
• Familiarity with Transit declarations and understanding of proper discharge procedures.
• Experience with Thyme-IT is a bonus, though not mandatory.

As an In-House Customs Agent, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Completing Import and Export SADs and Transit Documents for internal planning teams.
• Preparing necessary port authority references (PBN, GMR, etc.) for vehicles.
• Promptly and professionally responding to customs requests from clients for whom we provide Customs Services.
• Critically assessing customer-provided documents (such as invoices, CMRs, etc.) to ensure all relevant details are accurately captured for the required customs documentation.
• Completing internal tracking spreadsheets for invoicing purposes.
