Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, responsible, and interested in building a career in customs clearance and international trade. No prior experience is required — entry-level candidates are welcome — but you should be comfortable working with documentation, deadlines, and communication with external partners such as customs brokers and forwarders.

Key Responsibilities

Customs & Documentation

  • Prepare and process EU import customs clearance (IOR – Importer of Record) documentation
  • Review customs-related documents, including HS code classification and certificates of origin
  • Handle customs duty refund procedures and related clearance tasks

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate with customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Manage and track customs clearance schedules
  • Respond to customs issues as they arise and liaise with brand partners

Your Profile

  • Able to work in Berlin, Germany (relocation required before start date)
  • Interest in customs clearance / international trade (no experience required)
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and reliable in handling documentation and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in customs clearance or trade operations
  • Familiarity with trade documents (B/L, invoice, packing list, etc.)
  • Licensed customs broker or hands-on customs clearance experience
  • Experience with EU-bound import customs clearance
  • Proficiency in trade English
  • Experience using ERP/trade management systems
  • German language ability
