We are seeking a highly skilled Import Customs Manager for the EMEA and/or UK region. The successful candidate will oversee import customs operations, manage import duties, and collaborate with various import countries to standardize policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage import customs for a specific country and collaborate with other import countries in the region.
  • Interpret policies and manage import activities, duties, and preferential programs.
  • Standardize and align import operations across the region for a unified approach.
  • Oversee and track import duty values and payments.
  • Provide baseline import duties and tariffs in the event of reciprocal tariffs.
  • Monitor policy changes, interpret their impact, and recommend actions.
  • Assess policy impacts with KGL management or Legal and communicate findings.
  • Lead initiatives to mitigate tariffs and optimize logistics operations.
  • Analyze existing logistics processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
  • Utilize financial data for insights and strategic planning.
  • Create detailed reports on logistics metrics and project outcomes.
  • Gather and analyze data to support logistics decision-making.
  • Lead logistics projects to improve efficiency and achieve business goals.
  • Oversee change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adaptations within the import operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align logistics strategies and drive improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software, data analysis tools, and financial reporting systems. Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and Salesforce systems, OTM and GTM process knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of LEAN principles and their application in logistics operations.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience with other logistics systems, software, and processes.
  • People management skills.
  • Knowledge of international logistics and supply chain regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage uncertainty.
