JOB SUMMARY:
The role requires supporting our US Customs Compliance operation, located in London, with a wide range of administrative support, to enable the flow of merchandise imported into the US market from Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania, by proactively managing and mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory requirements are met in a compliant, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Responsible for assigned work streams, business processes, and systems applications to monitor Trade Compliance 3rd Party Service provider’s global operation to ensure timely gathering of information needed for product classification (HTS#) and US Import entry clearance filings of our client’s product mix to prevent fines, penalties, increased costs and delays at time of Entry into the USA.
Provides oversight and technical guidance to Trade Compliance 3rd Party Service provider’s global operations, to ensure compliance to U.S. Customs (CBP) and Partnering Government Agencies (including but not limited to FDA, USDA, FWS, EPA) regulations and import requirements.
Communicates, educates and trains key business partners including our client’s Global Buying Offices, Vendors and Agents on policies and procedures to ensure accurate and complete import information is provided, enabling compliant and timely Customs Importer Security (ISF) and Entry clearance processing.
